Normality Restored!
Artist, Writer, Rotter for Hire (or at least, that's what it says on my business cards). I am the creator, writer and artist for the Cemeterians from Slave Labor Graphics as well as an unnanounced new Graphic Novel project coming in early to mid 2008. I am also the official illustrator and comic artist for the video game, Trickster Online, from Ntreev USA. A new webcomic will be uploaded to the Trickster Online website every Friday, detailing the rambling and often weird lives of the fine, off-balanced folks behind the game, look for it, read it, enjoy it, it's call Megalo Life! I am also a studio artist with showings and work hanging in the Night Gallery Ceramics in Santa Ana, I design freelance for companies such as Rockett and All Hallows clothing and am always up for finding new things to try out. I have a degree in studio art from Chapman Univeristy, I was a professional dancer and dance instructor for over 10 years (since retired). I have lived in Japan, Russia and of course America. I have been married twice, and have had a wonderful collection of animal companions through the years. I have been a tattoo artist, a retail monkey, a property manager, and other sundry things left unsaid. Especially those involving the video game world. I am passionate about Horror culture, books, Industrial, Darkwave/Coldwave, Horror Punk, film, literature, most things dark, spooky, devious, philosphical and aesthitically off kilter as well as this incredibly brilliant and beautifully, wonderfully mischievous woman. To view more work, check my portfolio here gilgrim stuff. To contact me please use my email address through gmail gilgrim AT gmail.com A new website will be coming soon as well, for now make sure to bookmark your browsers for The Girl Ate Datura dot com. It will be up soon, I promise ^__^. On this LJ you will find occasional ramblings regarding whatever flight of fancy I twist my thoughts to for the brief time I get to sit at a keyboard, the occasional bits of news regarding upcoming books and shows and whatnot, as well as personal ramblings about my life, my work process and other silliness. For additional gilgrim-ness-like-viewings, also see my official MySpace as well... even though MySpace is the devil and we've all basically sold our souls to a bastard devil made in the image of Ike Turner by using it... we're all going to hell. But like I've said before, all of my friends will be there, and the parties are much, much better.
My loathings are simple: stupidity, oppression, crime, cruelty, soft music. --Vladimir Nabokov (1899 - 1977)
